TDCF

The sixtieth session of the Executive Council (Geneva, June 2008) urged all WMO Members to finalize and implement plans for the migration from Traditional Alphanumeric Code Form (TAC) to Table Driven Code Form (TDCF) for Meteorological reports in accordance to the International Migration Plan approved by Congress.

NetSys International has been active in the WMO’s move towards the encoding of traditional alphanumeric code form (TAC) into the table driven code form (TDCF BUFR). We have invested substantially in the research, development and testing of the encoders and decoders to comply with the WMO’s CBS approved regulations and templates in the Manual on Codes. The NetSys TDCF offering consists of an encoder/decoder combination, fed by standard TCP/IP socket streams to convert TAC to TDCF and TDCF to TAC.
